At SpotFleet, we believe that idle hardware is the enemy of economic growth. We are a B2B Capacity-as-a-Service platform proudly built in Calgary, Alberta, designed to completely rethink how businesses lease and share commercial vehicles.

The Spotlight Moment

The idea for SpotFleet didn’t come from a corporate boardroom; it came from a parking lot.

Our founder, Kai, was exiting a local grocery store when he noticed a massive, fully-equipped commercial truck idling near the loading dock. The driver rolled down his window and asked for directions to the nearest cheap hotel for a couple of nights. When asked why he was staying, the driver explained a frustrating reality of the logistics industry: he had just completed his delivery, but his dispatcher had no return freight booked for the next 48 hours.

A $150,000 commercial asset, and a highly trained, licensed professional driver, were legally and mathematically forced to sit useless in a parking lot for two straight days.

That conversation triggered an immediate realization. Across town, local businesses were desperately scrambling to rent expensive trucks and hire temp workers for their holiday delivery spikes, completely unaware that fully insured trucks and drivers were sitting idle merely blocks away.

SpotFleet was born to bridge that exact gap.

The B2B Solution

We realized that the traditional rental market is broken because it forces businesses to buy massive short-term commercial liability insurance just to move a box. SpotFleet solves this by treating the Truck and the Driver as a single, legally integrated asset.

Our platform allows “Private Fleets” (like plumbers, wholesalers, and HVAC companies) to digitally lease out their parked trucks alongside their own salaried drivers to other verified businesses through structured B2B Subcontracting Agreements. Liability stays intact, capacity is unlocked, and no truck ever sits idle again.

Our Mission

Our mission is to eliminate the $10 Billion ’empty mile’ crisis in the logistics sector by building the definitive digital B2B Capacity network—ensuring that no commercial truck ever sits idle, and no business ever loses a sale due to a lack of delivery capacity.
